Purpose

The competition aims to create a unique and recognizable distinctive mark, capable of:
- representing the Agatine tradition and the connection with the city of Catania;
- summarizing the values of faith, history, and community identity;
- providing visual unity to the events of the Agatine Jubilee Year 2026.
Participation is free and open to all. The author of the winning logo will transfer the usage rights to the Committee, receiving mention and public visibility.
The Committee for the Feast of Saint Agatha invites graphic designers, artists, designers, students, and creatives of all backgrounds
to participate in the creation of the celebratory logo for the IX Centenary (1126–2026), anniversary of the return of the relics of Saint Agatha to Catania.
The selected logo will become the official emblem of the jubilee celebrations of 2026, and will accompany all related initiatives: publications, posters, website, social networks, informational materials, and commemorative gadgets.
Who can participate?
Logo Requirements
Individuals (graphic designers, designers, artists, students, enthusiasts)
Informal groups of creatives, with a group leader as contact person
Schools, academies, and universities (with authorization for minors)
Organizations, associations, professional studios, and communication agencies
Members of the Committee, close relatives, and anyone submitting more than one proposal are excluded.
Original and unpublished (no copyrighted elements, no generative AI)
Relevant to the theme of Saint Agatha and the return of the relics (1126–2026)
Sober and elegant, but also recognizable and engaging
Simple and versatile, suitable for print and digital, large and small format
Provided in vector and high-resolution versions

Evaluation criteria
The proposals will be examined by a Commission of experts based on:
- Adherence to the theme and symbolic value
- Originality and creativity
- Aesthetic and communicative quality
- Technical versatility and functionality
The winning logo will be officially proclaimed and publicly presented.
To be valid, the application must contain:
- Application form (Annex A)
- Substitute declaration (Annex B)
- Graphic design of the logo (vector file + PNG/JPG + b/w version)
- Declaration of transfer of rights (Annex C)
- Identity document of the signatories
- (If necessary) School/parental authorization
- Privacy notice (Annex D)
